Hi,

I'm still have the problem sending invoices per mail or download the invoice.
By try to send the invoice I get the message "Warning: Invoice file was not created! Please, check file/folder permissions of "upload" folder.", trying to download gives me a blank page. From the client area after login I'm able to download the invoice.

The folder permissions are right 755 and I've tried with 777 too. Further I've changed the server to a2hostings which is recommended by opencart.

But last I've to say, like a miracle "Sometimes it function" but most of the time not. I'm real helpless on this on.

Kind regards

Hermann

I've fixed this issue. You can test Arastta 1.5.0 RC 2 packages.

    Great Hermann,

Then it's isolated to some common data, and thus should be possible for someone to figure out and fix.

This is interesting, I had not tested it before, but it's true. So I guess it's access restrictions causing this.
    Added it here: https://github.com/arastta/arastta/issues/581

    Hi Rune,

thanks for the tip. I guess this is it. I've checked the order table and tested invoices before and after the migration and there do have all the same result.

I've figured for customers with an ID "customer_id" it is not possible to send the invoice per email nor print the invoice. Customers with ID 0 I can send out the invoice and printing too.

For customers with an customer ID it is possible to print the invoice after login to here account.

    Kind regards

Hermann, could you check the orders / order table to see if those failing is registered customers, while those being OK is guest checkouts (or newly registered customers)?

Also tell us if your site is a migration from OC (or other), or fresh install?

If migration, which tool was used?
And those invoices failing, is it for customers registered before or after the migration?

Anyhow, you should study the order table etc. and try to find a common thing for those failing.

    Honestly, what do you expect?

My scripts? It's freely available scripts. Which you are free to contribute to, to improve at any time, as you're a programmer selling it to clients. It's not mine, it's ours, given to us all by the core team of Arastta ... You do business with it, selling it to your clients, but you don't want anyone to help you look at it. Well how do you think anyone should be able to help you then, if you can't debug it yourself as a programmer ...

Rune, I'm sorry to say, but you've a fanny way to provocate people "so you can earn money on your clients?".

For my understanding there is a problem in your scripts. At the clients area it is possible to print the PDF invoice.

    Best thanks for your reply,

So what do you honestly expect if others can't recreate this issue in other setups?
Someone to log in to your system debugging this for free, so you can earn money on your clients?

Please tell us, as there is no info in here to help you with YOUR issue in any way.

Rune, that's my problem. On printing the PDF invoice just a blank page and on sending per email just this text:
"Warning: Invoice file was not created! Please, check file/folder permissions of "upload" folder."

If I would find an error I've would have fixed already.

    Kind regards

Sorry, but if you're not able to do as we ask you to do, nobody can help you. There is something in there, somewhere, it's just a matter of finding it.
No error, no info = nothing to look for.

Rune, I do not get any error. I've changed the server as I've told. I disabled all extensions. I've created the invoice first. There are no special data in the orders etc.

There is nothing else I can do. I do not have to hire somebody who do it for me, because I'm the programmer and not the store owner.

    Kind regards

Hermann, check what's different on those orders working and those not working.

If it's several things, do tests to limit it down to the one thing causing issues.
Could it t.ex. be a payment or shipping option? A product with special chars or data?

Is it the same issue, really? You don't get any error you told?

Do you have any new info to add Hermann, beyond guesses?

It do indeed work on a normal setup, on a normal server. No problem.

If it works now and then at your setup/server, it tells me it's most likely a unstable server. Unless there is some special data in some orders now and then, but without info nobody can help you. So if you're not able to debug it, and give more info and details, you might need to hire someone to do it for you.

Btw! You do generate a invoice number first, each time, right?

Still, that issue in the other tread is quite different than yours:

    Hi Rune,

I'm glad I'm not the only one how has a problem with this issue:
    https://arastta.org/forum/error-on-pdf-invoice

I've tested this issue and the result is some PDF files and send invoices to clients function and most of them do not.

It can instead not be a server issue. Further at the server error_log file and at the Arastta error log are no errors to find.

I guess most of the Arastta users do not use this function and therefore there are no complains.

    Kind regards

    You're a angry man yes, I forgot, sorry. ;)

Follow up when you're asked for info, or asked to test something, then it might be easier for someone to help you. closing treads because you feel it's going nowhere, well ... think about it for a while ...

If it's unclear or something you don't understand, follow up - or consider hiring someone to take a closer look at your issue, since it's not common. You should even consider the cloud service, if hosting is challenging.

Also your store seems to be heavily modified, and that can be a part of the issue, and also making it fare harder for someone helping you from outside, trough a forum.

    Rune,

with your kind of answer post's you're producing anger. I'm not post "all over the place", I just closed post's when I see there not going anywhere.

To Denis answer "Joomla templates do not write PDF files", I've to say my template I was talking about does it.

Anyhow thanks for the friendly tip.

    Kind regards

You have marked one of the answers as accepted (= solved). Anyhow there is no new info, or following up. Would be better to continue the last existing tread, instead of posting "all over the place". Just a friendly tip, nothing more.

The last reply seems to be from Denis.
