Hello. After a long reflection, yesterday I decided to choose Arastta as my work tool.I have installed via Softaculous 3 times and non stop is the same problem. The website and shop can not be opened, to much redirections. I have installed after that, the other scripts as Open Cart, Abante Card as a checking if they will work ok and... YES, the other scripts are working after instalation without problems, no redirections, all is ok. It means that problem is only in Arastta. What is wrong? I have to be sure that the script which I will use is working correctly and will work in the future because it's a lot of work to build a two, new ecommerce shops and I do not want to waste time. Kindly please for contact and information ASAP.It's very important for me, time is gone. Thank you very much and I wish all of you a nice weekend. Piotr

Note that you should create a new forum tread with a fitting topic and forum category for each case, not mix everything into one like this.
    Please read: https://arastta.org/forum/forum-rules

Arastta can indeed be used for B2B as it is. T.ex. just by changing the strings in a COD module, or creating a new simple module doing exactly as you wish, like a Invoice option. I made a few of those, but sadly never got any payment from the Marketplace, so I removed all my extension.

Hi.Thx for response.Indeed, I will try to use only html and css for change in my store. Can you advice, how make an integration between Arasttra and eBay and Amazon? It will be enough to use the OC modules?I think that the nexr very good step will be Arasttra in version B2B but who will.make it ?:D Because Arasttra has an option of multishops and different customers can have different prices, it can be use as B2B option but is needed also an order without payment, only as quotation for customers and after acceptance, sending the invoice. Do you have any advice?Piotr

Glad that you got it working with manual install, which is anyway the recommended way.

Softaculous isn't something I normally would recommend for anything, anyhow problems with it would fit better directed to the host or Softaculous itself.

The compatibility info can be found her: https://arastta.org/docs/developers/opencart-compatibility
But note that the doc hasn't been updated, and some backward compatibility was broken for t.ex. payment modules in A1.5 (SEF URL related).

    Hi Plotr,

What PHP version are you using as this can be significant on new installs of Arastta?

If you have some development experience with MVC this would help with Opencart and Arastta functionality and HTML and CSS for the styling. Arastta is very closely based on Opencart 2.x and also uses aspects of Joomla MijoShop.

    https://arastta.org/history

    The requirements are here :-

    https://arastta.org/docs/requirements

Lots of host providers will be using a version of PHP that is higher these days.

Opencart2.x modules and components can easily be converted with minor modification as they follow the same structure, but the new version (3.x) uses a different system for layout (TWIG).

The marketplace for Opencart is far larger than anything for Arastta due to its longevity and popularity, but they can all be integrated with a little knowledge.

We prefer the Arastta administrative backend which includes more useful features than Opencart and is more intuitive to users with less experience and you only really need one template as you can change it's appearance with CSS and minor changes to the existing template (any CSS and HTML design can easily be converted).

Commercial templates always have a beautiful initial appearance because they have chosen attractive complimentary colours and images with a couple of gimmicks in their widgets as the main selling point. They also often include a layout design interface. These can get complicated if they offer a lot of options and often do not work as expected. Our advise would be to learn a little CSS instead as the latter invariably causes more obstacles than it solves ultimately.

If you are aware of broswer inspectors and the view source of web pages you can simply copy any design or website you like?!

The basic features of Arastta should be enough for beautiful design possibilities and a simple solution for additional layout in both cases is to use the "Custom HTML" module.

The "Layout Manager" in Appearance -> Layouts is significantly easier to use than the Opencart equivalent which feels clunky by comparison.

Arastta also has an "import / export" tool that uses an Excel type spreadsheet, so whichever cart you use it is relatively straight forward to move or migrate all of the categories and products from one system to the other. There is a free module to add this to Opencart too.

In summary we prefer Arastta to Opencart, but Arastta is due for some development work to keep it up-to-date. Maybe use Arastta to begin with as it is easier to adminsister and consider Opencart if Arastta is no longer developed.

Hi.Thank you for response. In the current moment I have not the information which you need (Im outside of my office) but I know that the envronment is correct because I have checked all before the instalation and the problem is only after instalation via Softaculous. Why?Because after first instalation I cleaned all files and after downloading Arasttra I installed it point after point manually, according to yours manual.Instalation was smoth and without problem, all is working. It means that problem is only during instalation via Softaculous. Please tell me, if Arasttra is based(of course not stricly the same software) on the Open Cart system and part of the modules etc is compatibile, the motives and templates made by "template toaster" for OC will working without problem or are some difference which always have to be changed? After finish of configuration, I want start with my own template designated for my assortment.Thank you.Piotr

    Hi Plotr,

Can you explain the environment you have installed Arastta? For instance the type of hosting and the version of PHP MYSQL and Apache?
