But on the same host I am able to run opencart v2.0.3.1 and v2.1.0.1 without any issues whatsoever and also I checked in the system information section and cURL is enabled....

I think there should be a setting for how old temp orders to keep, and a trigger in the order list deleting the older ones automatically when the site/list is loaded - to avoid building up a massive database with useless orders (missing orders / abandoned carts).

The cart should only generate one temp order per session, to avoid cluttering up the database.
