Hi,

I would like to upload my download files and am running into problems.

At the add new download page in catalog - download, I can enter the download name, then click the 'upload file' select the pdf file and it begins uploading, but it Fails. After a little bit, I get a box saying 'upload required'.

I checked with a smaller file and it works. However, I checked my settings where I define max file size for upload and I have it set to 1000000000 bytes. My files are way smaller than this. 5 meg at the most.

Any thoughts on why this is happening and how to fix it ?

On the download upload page the question mark says I can upload via FTP to download folder. I did this, but what next ? Files don't show up for selection on new download page nor on product page.

It's probably a max size set by your host/server causing trouble, unless your internet so to slow to handle the upload within reasonable time.

For instruction on how to add your downloads, please read the documentation: https://arastta.org/docs/user-manual/catalog/downloads

They don't just show up, you have to add them manually. Writing file name etc.

Can you explain how to do it manually ? I tried uploading a larger file on my fresh install of arastta and find myself unable to load it. So it must be the hosting company. Thus I need to go about using FTP. I did not find info on the documentation on how to do this. I tried typing the file name in the product - download box (after uploading the file to the download folder via FTP) but can't get it to take.

    Thanks

The steps is the same, only difference would be to write the file name, without uploading it (since you already uploaded it through ftp) - to create the download. If you haven't created the download first, there is nothing to find when adding/editing the product where you want to attach it. It makes sense, right?! :)

Also you could talk to your host about increasing the upload limit.
