Cannot edit layout

I cannot edit the layout in my store... When I edit something (see attachment change.jpg), a blank page opens, I can't do anything there (layout.jpg).

On my start page i just see the error in fehler.jpg.

What am I doing wrong?

We had to change the SSL-behaviour to use SSL on all sites (catalog + admin). Thanks to Denis!

    The error message on the default page dissapears when I disable SEO urls. Also, when SEO is enabled I cannot open any link like "my account", "contact" or anything like these...

    But even with SEO disabled I'm still unable to edit the layout.
