Hi,

Quite often stores want to restrict checkout to only in stock products (Settings -> Options -> Stock Checkout = No), but at the same time they might have products coming soon, or products only taken in on order (?Delivery item?) - which they also want to accept orders on.

Thus I believe that the stock statuses should have an option to set and control (override) "Stock Checkout", or maybe better, add this as an option to the products data (Always allow checkout) per product.

I would have voted this up if it was in the Ideas section ;)

Haven't seen any big activity in the ideas section, nor any user contributions being accepted or worked on, so would it make any difference? Seems like the forum has some what more attention, and sometimes discussions are needed. Maybe it would work better if the ideas section was a part of the forum? ;)

    Anyway,please vote: https://arastta.org/component/mijovoice/idea/47-allow-pre-order-when-stock-checkout-is-set-to-no :)

If anyone could fix the "Filter by status" we could take a closer look at this. Anyhow I'm quite sure that none of mine has been taken (at least not the most voted), but mostly does added by the core teams with few votes, so that numbers would be up for discussion. Note that I wrote "nor any user contributions".

Anyhow, I'm really not complaining about what's done or how, but whether it actually works as it intended. The ideas section is kind of hidden, often forgotten, and people isn't used to it - or care about using it.

Yes, but not the setting per user - so from my point of view it's not completed.
Additionally a new setting at each user (similiar Joomla has) where his base language could be defined.

    - and several people agreeing it's needed.

The idea is to change the language on the fly and that is added. A setting per user doesn't fit with the original idea about changing the language on the fly, it's a different thing. "Additional" ideas can be added separately.

It was written within the idea, so I see it as a part of it.
Also it seems like we read additionally differently:
    Definitions of additionally:
as an extra factor or circumstance.
also, in addition, as well, too, besides, on top (of that), moreover, further, furthermore, what's more, over and above that, into the bargain, to boot, likewise, withal

    Anyhow...
Denis Dulici wrote:"Additional" ideas can be added separately.

Then it should have been commented, and separated into a new idea - and not just "ignored, closed and forgotten" when all commenting seemed to look at this at the most important part of it.
