So I tried to purchase an extension on my site through the marketplace, but there are no buttons to allow you to continue through with the purchase.
Then I tried going to the extensions store on the website, and I was able to choose what I wanted and get as far as going through the paypal process to get a message that I can't make the purchase because of government regulations.

So is this a joke? How is someone supposed to get access to paid extensions if paypal blocks it?

I have bought several, but only directly on the Marketplace site, never tested from admin.

Regarding PayPal, this seems related, but was never made clear by PP staff:

Maybe it helps if you post the exact message(es) you got/get.

    I found the reason: https://techcrunch.com/2016/05/31/paypal-to-halt-operations-in-turkey-after-losing-license-impacts-hundreds-of-thousands/

And honestly, I really don't understand why this hasn't been followed up on by Arastta. It annoys me to see it has been down since June 6, 2016 ...

Still, the situation is surely sad and challenging I guess. But a blog, and note on the Marketplace, would still be nice. Unless there is a need for being careful on what is said in public, which it well might be ...

Maybe moving the hosting or something out of country with less hangups would help.
The way things are now, unless the are free, they are pretty much useless.

    Thanks for the research.

As I can see, it's not related to hosting location, but the "sellers" location.
Seems like there is a need for registering a Ltd in UK, or something in another country, to get paid through PayPal. Surely challenging.
