Once again there is a new "minor" version of OpenCart released, OpenCart 2.1.0.1, and people wondering about how to update from the previous OpenCart 2.0.3.1...

Forum treads like those is sadly becoming more and more normal:

So if you're struggling with keeping your OpenCart store updated and secure, getting new features etc., consider migrating it to Arastta instead, and keep your hear colour a few years extra. ;)

How to migrate OpenCart 2 to Arastta is described here:

Still left in the dark with OpenCart 1.5?
No problem, just do a reasonable simple upgrade of the database to OpenCart 2.0.x first:

- or ask Pekka or someone else to do it for you (paid service): http://arastta.org/community/profile/121-pekka-mansikka

    Thanks Rune.
Maybe OC easier a upgrade to Arastta directly in cPanel.

I tried to do the migration myself and ran into problems. Bought Pekka's extension. His service is excellent and I highly recommend it. I'm now using Arastta. Still need to modify and get everything the way it should be but it's coming along. www.digitally-driven.com

Glad to be on board with you guys. Looking forward to simpler updates! I stayed on 1.5.6 forever because I was too scared to make the change. Not scared anymore.
