Hello,

I downloaded the latest version 1.1.1 because the one click update did not work on my previous installation.

This time I wanted to create my own database name for testing purposes.

That just created an error as you can see in the attached screenshot.

So then I created a new database name in phpMyAdin on my localhost (MAMP), the username and password already existed.

Still no luck.

This may be a simple problem for you to solve but it puts new users off because they cannot get past the installation.

I have created many Joomla sites which allows you to add any database name you want, it then completes all the tables etc automatically.

I searched in the forum for an answer but could not find anything that actually worked for me.

In your documentation you say:

You need to fill in the spaces by adding the database connection details (Hostname, Username/Password, Database Name and Table Prefix). You can use any already created database or let Arastta create it for you during the installation.

Adding a database name didn't work, letting Arastta create the database for me didn't work either.

I really like what you have done with Arastta, the idea is fantastic.

Hopefully you can sort out these minor problems otherwise people will give up and never try it again if they can't get past first base.

Kind regards,
Robin

    Hello,

I just found a solution myself.

Normally, the Hostname for MAMP is localhost:8888.

However, I used localhost instead and it worked.

Maybe that information will help others having similar problems.

    Regards,
    Robin
