Redis cache DB field?

I enabled the redis cache, thoug i directly noticed that there was no option at that moment to enter the ip/port and password, but hey.. i am new here and thought maybe it will show me afterwards.. NOT.. (my fault)
So jumped in the database, searched redis, and cleared the field and saved. So i get: Error: Could not load cache storage cache! now.
But i do not remember which DB field i edited.. i know i should have made a note.. lol.. can someone tell me which field it was before i have to do a plain install?

BTW i am marco from the netherlands, and was just pointed here today, and am really exited about the packed features and especially the theme editor :-) Nice work.. Also the settings which i was just walking thrue did make me feel good.. So just wanted to do some speed testing before i messed up..

i would be greatfull if someone can point me out.. (hope i posted this right.. )

    Hi Marco,

First of all, glad to see you liked Arastta and welcome on board.

As for your issue, you should search for "config_cache_storage" key and set it as "file".

Also, regarding Redis settings, for now, you should edit the following file:
    system/vendor/joomla/cache/src/Redis.php

We'll try to add these as setting in the next version.

Thnx! hmm.. i should have known to search in the settings section.. :o

I will give it a try with Redis. Someone already made a speedtest with which caching system the most speed is gained? and is PHP 7 supported.

My first impression is that it looks very promissing! i am since the first release with PS, and always kept an eye on OC, but likely i will give this a try with a new multistore project.

    Thanks!

TBH I've not tested with others but File because of being (cache library) a 3rd party script coming from Joomla. Here you can find my recent page load performance testing with page cache disabled. Enabling page cache with File as storage speeds Arastta up to 6x.

I'm also looking to replace the cache library with a more actively developed one http://www.php-cache.com

I had a look, but from what i can read code, it has a way build in to get around the key of the redis DB?
i did not see a field for the key, and could not connect.

I did some testing with gtmetrix comparing with PS and Arastta plain install on two different setup servers, diff is talking about seconds, till i noticed the throttle the connection to simulate a mobile phone connection.. never thought about that... as mobile sales is growing, it seems important to me. .there was a hugh gab.. 10 or 30 seconds! Arastta - PS.. i made my choice ;)

This is what GTmetrix says for the home page of demo sites of Arastta, OpenCart and PrestaShop: https://gtmetrix.com/compare/fmgifw1s/u4lmlekw/npbi41he

PS seems to be 4 seconds slower ;)
