Is it possible to turn off shopping functionality

Hello! Is it possible to turn off the the Internet store? Leave information site without the possibility to add to cart and checkout process?

    Note! I recommend you also disable all payment and shipping options, in case someone use a "backdoor" to add products to cart (t.ex. direct links). It's incredible what people can make themselves do. :)
