Checkout Issue with Gift Voucher

I am having an issue with a client's arastta configuration. My client only wishes to use paypal for his storefront, but he would also like to be able to offer Gift Certificates/Vouchers. But when using them it sends the customer to paypal asking for the full amount instead of accepting the Gift Certificate/Voucher, is there a way to fix this issue?

    nightstryke, do you mean that you see the discounted price on your site but not when you go to PayPal?

    Yes on the Arastta install the amount is discounted or subtracted, but when I click the continue button to continue checking out. It sends me straight to paypal and paypal wants me to pay the full amount of the Item instead of using the certificate/voucher.

    I'm using PayPal Standard.
    Is it an issue that I should be using one of the other PayPal options instead?

    Don't know, but it's worth a try. PayPal Express is anyway often more stable in other ways.
    So I encourage you to test it yes. :)
