Change in tax handling?

Anyone remember doing any change that could influence on tax handling/display "lately"?

Noticed a new shop doesn't display prices including tax, even if it should. So then I looked at a test store (copy of live), being updated from 1.2.4, and there the taxes has disappeared from the price display ...

    OK, so I found that the Store Setting for tax handling has been changed on update.
    That shouldn't happen, it shouldn't be possible...?

    Still it happened, and before it also has happened that all modifications has been disabled.
    Weird indeed ...

    Btw! It's a multistore with different tax handling for each, maybe it's getting mixed up and overwritten somehow (caching issue?).
