Hello,

I was a php developer for both the Arastta and Open Cart shopping carts several years ago. I had to step away from it for a few years and have just come back.

Are Arastta and Marketplace no longer being maintained? I installed it and tried downloading a few modules from the Marketplace. The zip files were empty when they downloaded. It also wouldn't work through the store backend either. It says "Installed" but nothing is actually installed.

When I attempted to contact Arastta through the contact page form, it wouldn't submit.

I also noticed the last entry into this forum is someone saying "Marketplace down?" and some concerning replies.

If this software is no longer maintained than I'd like to know if people are using it and/or if it's worth my time building some new and exciting modules for the software package. I'll go back to Open Cart but I've been a bigger fan of Arastta since it first came out a long time ago.

If someone can get back to me on this. If the original have abandoned the software but people are still using it then...

1. I would be willing to take over the main development of the software since I've been working with it for years and Open Cart for many years before that.
or
2. I would be willing to setup a new Marketplace on a new domain
or
3. If nobody is using this or interested in using this software package anymore, I'll just go back to just developing modules for Open Cart.

SOMEONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP SO I KNOW HOW TO PROCEED.

Thank you,
Andrew Tite

Do you still use Arastta and want new modules?

Hi Andrew, I'm glad to see you around.

I can't tell what's going on, nor reply on behalf of the core team, but I know there is still active users, and even new stores being built.

I also know that the software itself is much more user and developer friendly than OC, it has huge potentials I would say.

But sadly, as you have seen, there are some other issues. And a bad, or rather lack of, communication at the moment.

Still there is several hoping for better days ...

Hello Andrew, at the moment it is possible to download translations, but not the other extentions (free or paid). New users probably will not become real users now, but If somebody needs to download an extension on a working web-site, they will have to stop to their job.

    Hello,

Both are maintained and the marketplace problem has been fixed. You may contribute to Arastta via GitHub https://github.com/arastta/arastta

Marketplace hasn't been looked after for many months.
Submissions are never added, changes are never approved.
Not sure how your going to attract people to Arastta if support is non existant and marketplace isn't maintained.
    It's been very frustating.

    That's not true.
Your extension doesn't meet the Arastta standards. You want Arastta users to upload files via FTP like old OC days, sorry but that's not acceptable so yes, it's never approved.
    Best Regards

    Which part is not true?

The Marketplace has been broken more or less two months, that part is true. And there is people who have bought extensions, but could not download, and they got no reply on support requests to the Marketplace owner within reasonable time - they say. And I believe it, as I see the same ignoring in several areas.

Anyhow, if something is broken, please communicate what's going on. Silence kills the trust.

For the project and core itself, 1.7 should have been released several months ago (Aug. 2017). Again, silence, and nobody know nothing. So not weird if people ask, and are unsure if it's maintained or not. Potential new users might avoid it because of this.

For the extensions not meeting standards, that's fine, if the requirements are easy to find (I have not seen this one mentioned about FTP). And also, anyone trying to list anything should as a minimum receive feedback, if there is anything wrong, nobody deserves ignoring. Does that happen?

Btw! When talking about standards and requirements, why have some extension with description in other languages than English been approved? The are useless for most browsing for extensions. Example: https://extensions.arastta.pro/tools/update-stock

    Ref.: https://extensions.arastta.pro/terms-of-service
Your item description and interface is available in English language.

And also, I've reported several extensions being broken. They are still listed, unfixed.
