I am wondering if the payment plugin for Braintree would be converted from the regular OS cart? Or, if I could just add the module after I downloaded Arastta?
Any info would be appreciated.

OK, the zip does the same as a correct upload through FTP, adds the files to the correct locations. Thus something has most likely gone wrong when you have uploaded through FTP, and therefore I recommend you check your sub folders. To see if you find t.ex. a extra admin folder within one of them, and if so clean up the mess.
Anyhow, glad you got it working.

I don't know that plugin, but you can read about OC compatibility here:

Hi BeeBow,
Were you able to install Braintree extensions from Opencart into Arastta?
I think it is under the compatibility scenarios Rasmussen aported, but when I try to install it into my test site I get an error:
Directory containing files to be uploaded could not be found!
Congratulations Arastta team!! I am new here, was looking Prestashop alternatives a few days ago and just found Arastta and loving what I have learnt until now!!
Many Thanks and kind regards from Spain, -

I guess it doesn't support the installer, so you need to follow the instructions for that extension on how to install it. Maybe you have to unzip the "main" package or something first, to install it manually, or find a install zip. Normally some info and instructions included in the packs, in files named doc, readme, install or something.
Anyhow it seems like there is several different Braintree extensions, so it might be a good idea to tell which one you're testing with. If it's the free one, you probably need to use the 2.5 version also: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=extension/extension/info&extension_id=25009 -

Hi Rasmussen,
Many thanks for your reply.
Yes, the extension I am trying to install is the one you pointed out, and as I see that Arastta is based on OC 2.0, the version I tried it is the 2.5 as you also suggested.
The instructions say to upload contents of upload directory to the root of my server. I did so, and I don't know if I am supposed to do something else or not. Also I have search where I was expecting the extension to appear in Arastta (under modules Payment) and there is nothing new in there.

If you did upload the files through FTP, you would not get that error message you mentioned above - so something is unclear here in what you have done. Please specify it step by step, please also take a screenshot of your root folder (in FTP view).
Edit: There is by the way a trick you can do if you are unsure about using FTP, just zip the upload folder (so the zip includes the folder upload), then install it through the installer in admin. Like the attached file. It will display under payments then, just tested it. -

Hi Rasmussen,
Many thanks for your reply.
I did some tries, but basically:
1.- I downloaded the extensions from OC site.
2.- I tried to install it in Arastta using the installer, from extensions.
3.- I got the mentioned error.
4.- Tried a couple more times deleting temp files between tries as Arastta was suggesting.
5.- I read about installing OC extensions and replaced name of Braintree extension to xxxx.ocmod.zip
6.- Another try from Arastta installer with same result.
7.- Unzip the extension on my hardisk and read its documentation.
8.- I grabbed upload contents and dropped them in the root of the directory where Arastta is installed on the server.
9.- Checked if it was installed somewhere in the backend
10.- Tried to install again using Arastta installed.
11.- I wrote on Arastta Forum looking for help
I have attached a screenshot of my root folder.
Many thanks and kind regards from Spain, -

Hi Rasmussen,
Many thanks for your reply.
I have just seen the zip file you uploaded and with it, it worked flawlessly. May thanks!
I didn't ftp'ed the full upload directory of the extension, but the contents on it to the root folder.
I think the upload folder was created when I tried to install the extension before. What I did and forgot to tell you on the previous list, is that one of the times I got the upload folder from the temp file created by the installer and left it on the uploads directory (so it was home/uploads/uploads).
In any case is working now thank you to your help!
Many thanks and kind regards from Spain,
