I think the specials manager is a great idea. I do think we need to add more than just a quick list showing special pricing. Often times a special has strings attached from the manufacturer and we can lose our dealership if we don't show the special a specific way. We need to have a list of specials with a text box explaining the special. So if the special price is 10% OFF or $100 Mail In Rebate we can specify that the special price is a manufacturer promotion. As mentioned in an OC module "To display promotional products anywhere in your store with promotion details"

With Black Friday, Christmas, New year sales etc. coming, people starts asking about those functions again ... ;)

Something we would look for.

We offer pricing to groups setup as "Consignment Customers" and "Wholesale Customers" where each group is offered a different discount rate on all store items.  

Having to do each items is a total nightmare.

Using an old interspire store, we can edit the groups and give them category level discounts, product level discounts and storewide discounts.
